Beautiful illustration. I think you've done a great, great coloring-job on this! Your "version" contains a "wizardtype" standing at the cliff ;-). I saw that the original inkdrawing has a warriortype. Personally, I prefer the wizardtype. However, great work

I am usually very suspicious of people "coloring" others' line work, but this is simply not the case. You didn't just follow, you improved it. Expression is better here than in the sketch.

Notice how he cropped the picture to achieve a much stronger composition than in the sketch, people.

Nice job indeed! There was already some nice flow in the compositon of the original sketch, but your choice of lighting and croping enhance the focal point even more! Good conversion of the depth and texture with nice color harmony. The brushstrokes work well in unifying the whole picture and creating an ancient feel.

And i really like the warm, mute color scheme +7

Well you did a fantastic job rendering this from the original drawing. It's an excellent comparison to show just how talented you are. Those colors and textures are incredible, really.
